Volunteer: Blood Donors Needed!Blood Donation
Donate Today, You'll Save Lives Tomorrow About one hour is all it takes to provide the lifesaving gift of blood to patients in our local hospitals. Right here in our community, volunteer blood donors are connecting lives and sharing life through blood donation. Blood donation couldn’t be more important. There is no substitute for blood, so when a local patient is facing cancer treatment, surgical procedures or the uncertainty of a traumatic injury, it’s volunteer donors who help ensure that the blood needed is on hand. And the need is great. Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood – that’s 35,000 blood donations needed every single day! Volunteer blood donors respond to this need, and for that, we are extremely grateful. To that end, we do all that we can to ensure the best possible experience for our donors. The moment you visit one of our donor centers or blood drives, our courteous, professional staff will work to make your visit brief, comfortable and something you’ll look forward to doing again (in eight weeks, we might add). With your whole blood or platelet donation, your generous gesture could make all the difference for a local patient in need. Schedule your donation today and be a part of someone’s story. Donate today; you’ll save lives tomorrow. Why Donate BloodThe Community Blood Center sees more than 1,200 volunteer blood donors every week. Many donate to help their community. Others donate blood in honor of a friend or family member who has required a blood transfusion. What makes volunteer blood donors so special? Blood cannot be made or manufactured. It’s a gift that can only be given from a volunteer donor. DONATE NOW Organization: The Community Blood Center Blood Donation
