Volunteer: VITA Client Check-In Greeter

Help create a welcoming and well-organized experience for individuals arriving for their Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) appointments. As a VITA Client Check-In Greeter, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients, supporting smooth check-in, clear directions, and efficient people flow during appointment times.

The VITA program is funded by Oshkosh Area United Way and operated in partnership with UW–Oshkosh, helping ensure free, high-quality tax assistance is accessible to our community.

What You’ll Do:

Greet clients as they arrive for scheduled VITA appointments Check in clients and confirm appointment details Direct clients to waiting or service areas as needed Support the flow of clients to help appointments stay on schedule Answer basic questions and provide friendly, calm assistance

When You’re Needed:
Dates: February 3 – March 20
Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Time: 3:00–4:30/5:00 p.m.
Note: Volunteers are welcome to sign up for a couple of shifts or multiple dates, based on availability.
