Volunteer Opportunities From: Volunteer Oshkosh

Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods is a local nonprofit organization that develops and supports neighborhood associations throughout the City. We provide home improvement grants and community building funds for Block parties and neighborhood events. We are also developing a rental rehab program to increase the number of affordable housing units in the area.

We purchased a home on Church Avenue this week that will serve as our new office and meeting space. The property also features 3 one-bedroom apartments that we will be renting to tenants.

We have some work to do before we can occupy the space, and we're looking for volunteer crews to lift and carry heavy objects. We'll need help moving 20 sheets drywall from a garage into the basement and moving some office furniture from our downtown Oshkosh office to the new house.

Volunteers are needed as gate attendants, games and activities attendants and runners.

Come engage our residents through activities ex: Bingo, Card games or use your imagination.  We are in need of volunteers to do activities with residents in Creekview.  We are looking at Saturday mornings around 10:00am.  We are open to groups who would enjoy working with the elderly.  Come share talents and fun for those we care for.

Touch-A-Truck is a fun and unique experience for the entire family. Community businesses and organizations bring their trucks to the Leach Amphitheater, allowing kids to climb in, sit on, and explore heavy equipment of all shapes and sizes. There will be games, hands-on activities, building projects, and much more. Join us as a volunteer for this event and enjoy seeing all these families are having!

Join Oshkosh Area United Way staff at the Oshkosh Area Community Pantry to stock shelves, organize donations, and support individuals and families in need. This is a rewarding opportunity to make an impact, connect with like-minded volunteers, and strengthen your community.

We will be in charge of  the Northside concession stand,  a few roll rolling beer carts and a beer tent. 7/31 from 5 pm to 11 pm. 

We can split it into shifts of 5pm to 8 pm or 8 pm to 11 pm.
