Parent Connection

Parent Connection is a voluntary education and early learning program designed to Encourage, Strengthen and Support families. All of our services are focused on providing family education and promoting positive parenting.

We offer programs and services that prevent child abuse and ease the transition into and through the stages of parenthood; making parenting less stressful and more enjoyable.  Our services are offered in-home and in group-based settings throughout Winnebago, Outagamie, Shawano, and Appleton addresses in Calumet Counties.

Our Educational Support Services are: 

• Welcome Baby Visits (for those that qualify)
• This program is designed for parents who have had a new baby, adopted or are fostering a baby with intent to adopt.  It provides education, tips, resources, connections to community resources, and possible voluntary enrollment with Help Me Grow and/or our Parents as Teachers program.
• Home Visiting
  • Parents as Teachers™ Home Visitation (for those that qualify)
    • This program is designed for parents-to-be or parents with young children. Our staff is happy to provide home visits and provide a variety of tips and resources, including positive parenting information, constructive play ideas, and developmental screenings.
    Families First (for Winnebago County residents that qualify only)
    • We offer an in-home parenting education program to families with at least one child under six. Our staff provides information about a variety of relevant topics, including positive discipline, resource connection, and child development. 
• Family Wellness Program - Parenting Classes/Workshops & Events
  • We share family wellness information via social media and our newsletters.  We also offer a variety of positive parenting education classes, workshops, events and other programs within the Fox Cities of Appleton, Neenah, Menasha, Oshkosh and Shawano to support all kinds of parenting situations (single parenting, co-parenting, step-parenting, foster-parenting, grand parenting, etc.).
