Position Overview
The Volunteer Communications & Outreach Coordinator is responsible for building strong relationships with volunteers and ensuring they are informed, engaged, and prepared for upcoming events and activities. This role serves as the main point of contact for volunteer communication, helping to create a positive and organized volunteer experience.
Key Responsibilities

Volunteer Communication:

Send updates to volunteers regarding event dates and times.

Respond to volunteer questions via email.

Maintain clear and consistent communication before and after events.

Volunteer Outreach & Engagement:

Reach out to potential volunteers to recruit and confirm participation.

Build relationships that encourage long-term involvement and retention.

Support recognition efforts to appreciate and celebrate volunteers.

Scheduling & Coordination:

Utilize an up-to-date volunteer roster and schedule.

Coordinate attendance, availability, and assignments for each event.

Collaborate with event staff to ensure volunteer needs are met.

Administrative Support:

Update volunteer databases and contact lists.

Assist with preparing volunteer materials such as schedules, reminders, and thank-you notes.

Contribute ideas to improve communication strategies and volunteer engagement.
