Who We Are
Make the Ride Happen is a program of Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
Mission Statement: To make the ride happen for older adults, individuals with disabilities, and disadvantaged communities so they can remain active and involved in their communities.
Vision: We are a one central location with comprehensive information where individuals can find a ride for their particular need and reasonable time.
What We Do
Our services offer a transportation call center for individuals to learn what transportation options are available. We manage a volunteer driver program where a volunteer uses their personal vehicle to take our riders to their destination. We also offer one on one travel training to assist individual and learning to ride the public bus.
Volunteer are required to: Have a desire to help people, a reliable vehicle, good driving record, and valid driver's license.
