Who We Are
Wave Robotics is a family of students, mentors and supporters. They work together through community outreach and engaging STEAM projects. Members of Wave Robotics provide opportunities not found in the classroom. They seek to inspire by providing a safe, fun, and enriching environment.
What We Do
Founded in 2008, Wave Robotics is a premiere FIRST Robotics team. FIRST Robotics combines the excitement of sports with the rigors of STEAM. It is known as the “varsity sport for the mind”. With only 6 1/2 weeks to prepare, volunteer professionals mentor students in a variety of sub teams to create a working robot. They guide and inspire students in STEAM and business fields. They also share real world experiences while contributing to their skill development. It is as close to real-world business applications as a student can get. Many students go on to take internships with local businesses they mentored with.
