Who We Are

Who We Are

Mission We EmpowHER empowers women and families through connection, advocacy, and access to transformational programs that strengthen individuals and communities.

Vision

We envision a future where women are confident, supported, and equipped with the resources and relationships they need to thrive. By fostering community, leadership, and opportunity, We EmpowHER works to create lasting, generational impact across the communities we serve.

Our History

Founded in 2017 as the Women’s Empowerment Series within the Fond du Lac County Department of Social Services, the organization began as a pilot program designed to support women through education, mentorship, and peer connection. In 2020, the program transitioned to the Goebel Family Foundation, expanding its reach and offerings into a year-round initiative. As the organization continued to grow beyond its original community, it rebranded in 2023 as We EmpowHER to reflect a broader, regional mission. Today, We EmpowHER serves women and families across Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, the Fox Cities, Green Bay, and surrounding communities, offering programs such as the Women’s Empowerment Series, Sisterhood Support, Empowerment Exchange, and large-scale community events including Wisconsin HER Day.

Why Volunteers Matter

Volunteers are essential to our mission. Their time, talents, and compassion help us create welcoming, impactful spaces where women and families feel supported, celebrated, and empowered.

What We Do

What We Do

We EmpowHER creates supportive, empowering spaces where women and families can connect, grow, and thrive. Through education, advocacy, and community-building, we deliver programs and events that strengthen individuals and create lasting impact.

Our work includes:

Women’s Empowerment Series – A multi-week program offering mentorship, education, and peer support for women seeking personal growth, stability, and confidence.

Sisterhood Support – Monthly gatherings that provide connection, encouragement, and shared resources in a welcoming, judgment-free environment.

Empowerment Exchange – Opportunities for women to learn from one another through shared experiences, skill-building, and leadership development.

Wisconsin HER Day – A large-scale, community celebration bringing together hundreds of women, families, volunteers, and partners for inspiration, resources, and connection.

Community Advocacy & Outreach – Collaborations with local organizations to increase access to resources, elevate women’s voices, and support family well-being.

Volunteers play a vital role in making this work possible by supporting events, assisting with programs, welcoming participants, and helping create safe, inclusive environments.
