In this role, you’ll use your photography and videography skills to showcase the incredible work of the Red Cross—whether responding to disasters or supporting communities in everyday moments. This is a hands-on opportunity to create powerful visuals that inspire action and highlight hope, while participating in in-person activities and working within Red Cross facilities. Your work will help share stories that matter and connect people to the heart of our mission.
- Bring Stories to Life: Collaborate with Communications Leadership to identify and capture powerful storytelling opportunities.
- Capture Impactful Moments: Photograph and film events, trainings, and disaster responses in alignment with Red Cross brand standards.
- Showcase Humanity and Hope: Create compelling visuals—portraits, candid shots, and scenes that reflect resilience and service.
- Turn Content into Stories: Edit, caption, and upload photos and videos promptly for use across social media and communication channels.
- Honor Dignity and Trust: Treat all clients, volunteers, and partners with respect and secure photo releases before sharing content.
- Deliver Complete Visual Packages: Organize and provide captions, quotes, and releases for internal and external storytelling needs.
During Disasters:
- Focus on Stories That Matter: Partner with the communications team to identify daily visual opportunities that highlight impact and inspire action.
- Capture the Heart of the Mission: Deploy where the story unfolds to document authentic, mission-driven moments that inform and engage.
