Help create a welcoming and well-organized experience for individuals arriving for their Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) appointments. As a VITA Client Check-In Greeter, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients, supporting smooth check-in, clear directions, and efficient people flow during appointment times.
The VITA program is funded by Oshkosh Area United Way and operated in partnership with UW–Oshkosh, helping ensure free, high-quality tax assistance is accessible to our community.
What You’ll Do:
- Greet clients as they arrive for scheduled VITA appointments
- Check in clients and confirm appointment details
- Direct clients to waiting or service areas as needed
- Support the flow of clients to help appointments stay on schedule
- Answer basic questions and provide friendly, calm assistance
When You’re Needed:
Dates: February 3 – March 20
Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Time: 3:00–4:30/5:00 p.m.
Note: Volunteers are welcome to sign up for a couple of shifts or multiple dates, based on availability.
