Each year, Oshkosh Area United Way hosts Day of Caring, presented by Amcor and supported by SNC, one of the largest organized volunteer events in the area. Day of Caring is a community-wide service day with hundreds of volunteers working on projects hosted by local organizations throughout Oshkosh. Participating in Day of Caring is a great way for anyone of any age to lend a helping hand to amazing organizations that are strengthening the community we live and work in.
On Wednesday, May 4, we ask residents, students, families, and employees to consider spending a half-day volunteering at our Day of Caring event to give back to the organizations that are doing so much to better the lives of our friends and neighbors. A few examples of volunteer projects include landscaping, writing thank you cards, sorting socks for Back 2 School Fair, moving or assembling furniture, proofreading, reviewing HR Handbooks, social media recommendations, etc.
We'll kick off the morning with a delicious free breakfast buffet at Best Western Convention Center and a few opening remarks from community leaders before volunteers head out to their assigned project sites. All volunteers will receive a free United Way T-Shirt.

STATEMENT OF RELEASE Day of Caring – May 4, 2022
I hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless Oshkosh Area United Way, the organizers, participating organizations and supervisors of all its activities, from any and all liability in connection with any injury (including an injury caused by negligence), in conjunction with the Day of Caring event. I likewise hold harmless from liability any person transporting me to or from any Oshkosh Area United Way activity.
Additionally, Oshkosh Area United Way has my full permission to utilize any photographs and/or videos taken at Day of Caring for publicity purposes.
By signing up to volunteer for Day of Caring, I acknowledge I AGREE to this statement of release.
