The Guest Registration Volunteer plays a crucial role in welcoming and assisting guests at our food pantry. This position involves greeting guests, checking in existing guests, and interviewing new guests using our database. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, possess strong computer skills, and be able to follow program guidelines accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming Guests: Warmly greet guests as they arrive at the pantry.
- Check-In: Efficiently check-in existing guests using our database system.
- Customer Interaction: Deal respectfully and effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and identities, including Non-English Speakers.
- Guest Interviews: Conduct interviews with new guests to gather necessary demographic information for our database.
- Verification: Ensure that guests are within our service area, and verify the addresses and identities of all guests and their household members.
- Data Entry: Accurately input guest information and household details into our system.
- Guideline Adherence: Explain and enforce pantry shopping rules to guests.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and support to all guests.
